ROME, Ga. — Quinn Atkinson posted 18 points to lead the Berry College men's basketball team to a convincing 73-57 victory over the Piedmont College Lions on Sunday afternoon. With the win, Berry improves to 8-3.
Atkinson was 7-for-13 from the field, collecting four rebounds and two assists. Three other Vikings scored double-digits including Ethan Clark, Elijah Hirsh and Myles Moore. Caleb Haynes had a field day on the boards, collecting 13 rebounds for a season-high.
The Vikings led 32-28 at the half with the help of 50% three-point shooting in the opening period. Berry outscored Piedmont 41-32 in the second half to secure the win.
Berry will begin Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play on Friday, Jan. 4 as they head to Millsaps.
