MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three Vikings scored double-digits as the Berry College men's basketball team earned a 77-65 victory over Rhodes College on Sunday afternoon, improving to 12-5 overall and 5-2 in league play. The win total set a program record for wins in a single-season in Berry's NCAA Division III era.
Cory Johnson led the team in scoring with his second-highest point total of the season, scoring 16 points and was 4-for-7 from beyond the arc. Elijah Hirsh also scored his fourth straight double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Myles Moore notched 14 points, shooting a perfect 6-for-6 at the free throw line.
Berry was efficient shooting, hitting 43.9% of their shots from the field and were 40% from three-point range. The Vikings are now in second place behind Centre in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA)
