The Berry College Viking Drumline is renowned for its tight and energizing performances, outstanding school spirit and talented student performers. Directed by John David, the ensemble performs music ranging from classic drum cheers and cadences to exciting works from STOMP and Drum Corps International.

Created in the fall of 2013, the Viking Drumline performs over 30 times a year providing music for football, basketball and volleyball games as well as special events throughout the community. They’ve twice been awarded “Outstanding Student Organization” at Berry and are the official music ensemble of Berry College Athletics.

*Viking Drumline Audition Material - Rudiments: Double-stroke Roll, Single-stroke Roll, Flam Accent, Single Paradiddle; and a prepared solo or etude on snare drum.

If you have any questions about the audition process, please contact John David
at: jdavid@berry.edu.

Auditions are required for students to be considered for eligibility of scholarships and other department-sponsored financial aid. Academic standards and ensemble participation must be upheld to maintain departmental scholarships. Music scholarships may be renewed and are reviewed annually by music faculty.
