Wesley White takes over as the assistant coachin charge of running backs for 2022 at Berry College after completing his undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis earlier in the year.
White was an equipment manager at Memphis for the 2020-21 seasons before becoming a volunteer coach for the 2022 spring season. In 2020, he assisted the defensive coordinator, setting up drills for practice and helping managers learn their roles for each drill. In addition, he repaired equipment and uniforms for the Tigers. The next season, White became the lead defensive signal caller for Memphis. He created new signals and strategies to signal in plays for the season, while continuing many of his other roles from 2020.
In the spring of 2022, white assistated the special teams coordinator with breaking down film for the upcoming season, designing presentations for special teams staff meetings, and studying special teams tendencies from the previous season.
From 2018-19, White was a student assistant at Bethel University. In 2018, he primarily assisted the defensive coordinator, linebacker assistant coaches, and special teams coordinator. White would help break down film, draw scout cards, assist in recruiting, and assisting with academic reports. The following year, he assisted the head coach and defensive line coach, becoming a liason between the head coach and the university faculty. White also helped to run position meetings with the defensive line and assisting with practices.
From 2016-18, White was an equipment manager for Louisiana State University. He helped to set up practices, blocked defensive signal callers during games, and helped handle equipment needs.
