Jake Sanders was named Berry’s H-Backs coach in June of 2018.

Sanders was a member of the Duke University football team from 2014 until 2016. He was selected as a member of the traveling roster despite being red-shirted during his first year on campus. In 2015, Sanders appeared in five games as a red-shirted freshman playing behind Lucas Patrick, now of the Green Bay Packers, at left guard on the depth chart. The Blue Devils went 7-5 and ended their season with a 44-41 win over Indiana in the Pinstripe Bowl. The victory was Duke's first bowl win since 1961. In 2016, Sanders was slotted to start at left guard, but saw his time on the field come to an end due to injury prior to spring practice.

He ended his time at Duke working as a sports marketing assistant and serving as a summer assistant offensive line coach at Griffin High School. Sanders earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University in Psychology with a minor in Education and completed the secondary education preparation program.

Prior to Duke, Sanders was a three-year letterman at Carrollton High School where he was selected first-team All-State Offensive Line in 2012 and 2013. He also earned second-team All-America honors during the 2013 season and participated in the AT&T Rising Reniors Bowl in 2012. Sanders helped lead Carrollton to three consecutive state playoff berths and the 2013 State Championship Game, achieving a 32-8 record during this period.

Sanders lives in Rome and is pursuing his MBA degree at Berry.
