Dru Richardson was hired as Berry’s defensive backs coach in April of 2020. Richardson previously coached at NCAA DIII Ohio Northern University in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC). Richardson coached safeties at Ohio Northern for two seasons where he assisted in recruiting, scouting, film breakdown and
practices.
Prior to ONU, he coached at his alma mater, Robert Morris University for two years as a graduate assistant in charge of the secondary.
Richardson graduated from Robert Morris with an undergraduate degree in business administration before receiving his masters of sports administration. As a student-athlete, Richardson anchored the Eagles’ secondary over four seasons as a defensive back, helping the team to the NAIA’s top rushing defense in 2014. In 2015, Richardson was honored as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete.
