ATLANTA — Berry College football's Trey Gregory collected the first Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Special Teams Player of the Week honor of his career after helping the No. 18 Vikings to a 34-10 win over Hendrix on Saturday.
The Griffin, Ga. native hit both of his field goal attempts, including a 34-yarder, and was 4-for-4 on extra points. On the day, the sophomore notched 10 total points for the Vikings. Also handling kickoff duties, Gregory booted seven kicks for a 56.9 average and one touchback.
Gregory is currently the top kicker in the league, having made all 10 of his field goal attempts on the year and scoring 60 total points. He is also one of just four kickers in all of NCAA Division III who have yet to miss a field goal this year.
Berry will head to Millsaps on Saturday for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff.
