Football's Blocked PAT Named National Play of the Week

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Vikings' blocked extra point during the 22-19 overtime victory on Saturday has been named the national Play of the Week by D3football.com.

After a Majors touchdown late in the fourth quarter, Jackson Putnam blocked the point after attempt resulting in a 98-yard return by Jordan Arnett to tie the game and send it to overtime. The Vikings would then block another field goal in overtime to set up reigning SAA Special Teams Player of the Week, Obie Brannon, for a 43-yard game-winner.

The Vikings improved to 7-1 and 5-1 in SAA play with the win, and are knotted up with Washington University in St. Louis and Centre College at the top of the conference leaderboard.
