ATLANTA - Berry College football's senior kicker/punter Mitchell Blanchard earned an astounding fourth Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Special Teams Player of the Week honor, the conference office announced on Monday.
With wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour, Blanchard had a solid day punting in the Vikings' 28-21 win over the University of Chicago Maroons. The senior punted five times for an average of 37.8 yards and a long of 62. He placed two boots inside the 20 including one at the one yard line. He also nailed all four of his extra point attempts.
The Vikings will travel to Conway, Ark., on Saturday to take on Hendrix College in a huge SAA matchup.
