2014: Named to the SAA Honor Roll and the Dean's List...received the cross country team award...competed in four 8K races...missed two races due to injury...saw improvement each race...improved his 8K personal best time twice...placed 29th at the Maryville (Tenn.) Invitational (10/4), clocking in at 31:05...ran a 25-second personal record at the Berry Invitational (10/18), posting a time of 30:32...achieved a 40-second personal record in the 8K with a time of 29:52 at the SAA Cross Country Championships (11/1), while finishing 48th out of 68 runners...also competed in the Kiawah Island Half Marathon (12/14).
2013: Named to the SAA Fall 2013 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll and the Dean's List. Competed in five races, including four 8Ks and one half marathon...missed one race due to injury...achieved two personal records...started off the season running a 33:38 8K at the Sewanee Cross Country Invitational (9/7)...placed 196th at the Furman Classic (9/14), while running a 1:57 8K personal record time of 30:57...competed in the 8K at the 2013 SAA Cross Country Championships (11/2)...ran a 6:51 personal record at the Kiawah Island Half Marathon (12/13), posting a time of 1:24:41.

Personal: Michael Patterson Klein was born in St. Louis, Missouri...the son of Dr. Steve and Marie Klein...Michael is a triplet...has one brother, Matthew, who also attends Berry College...has one sister, Ruth...his sister, Ruth, was on the swim team at Asbury University (2010-14) and was an Academic All-American...father, Steve, rowed crew at Harvard University (1974-1975)...transferred from Anderson University in 2012...made Dean's List in the fall of 2011, spring 2012, fall 2013 and fall 2014...on-campus job: sports information assistant and VITA tax preparer...majoring in accounting at Berry.
