2014: Named to the SAA Spring 2014 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll...pitched in 12 games...compiled a 2-0 record with a 5.57 ERA...pitched 21 innings with five walks and 18 strikeouts...recorded one strikeout over one scoreless inning in a 11-2 victory versus Emory & Henry (2/16)...pitched 4.1 scoreless innings in Berry's 12-8 win versus Covenant (4/8)...recorded five strikeouts over 2.2 scoreless innings in a 7-5 loss versus Rhodes (4/27) in the quarterfinals of the SAA tournament.

2012: Appeared in five games as a true freshman and had a 14.73 earned run average...tossed three and two-third innings, walked two and struck out one.
High School: Lettered in baseball at Spring Hill High School...put together a combined 17-3 pitching record as a junior and senior...over the course of his four year varsity career, struck out 151 batters in 123 innings of work...was 9-2 with a 2.14 earned run average while striking out 70 batters in 55 innings as a senior...named to the All-District team as a junior and senior...in 2011, Spring Hill won regional and district titles and advanced to the third round of the state playoffs...the team also won district crowns in 2009 and 2010, and was the state runner-up in 2010...graduated with honors and in the top 10 percent of his class...member of the honor roll throughout his prep career...earned several academic awards, including honors in English III and Modern History...was named a Tennessee Scholar...earned National Youth Leadership Award, as well as the Service Above Self Award for leadership...served as president of Project Lead the Way...was the parliamentarian for DECA...Spanish Club historian...member of the Pep Club.
Personal: Philip Braxton Teal was born in Columbia, Tennessee...the son of Kim and Craig Teal…has one brother, Colton...majoring in exercise science and minoring in psychology at Berry College.
