MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Berry College women's basketball team has announced their schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Head coach
Thomas Johnson returns as head coach for his 10
th season, and the team looks to build off a strong 2025-26 season that saw the Vikings advance to the SAA Semifinals.
The season begins with three straight home games, starting on November 6 at 5 p.m. against Huntingdon. Berry then hosts the CCS/SAA Classic against the same opponents as last year, LaGrange and Piedmont. The Panters come to the Cage Center on November 14, while the matchup with the Lions is the following day.
Next up, the Vikings hit the road for the Centre Classic the following weekend for two games against Greenville and LeTourneau on November 20 and 21, and then they return home three days later to take on Brevard.
The Vikings then embark on a three-game road trip, starting on December 1 against Agnes Scott before finally starting SAA conference play against Maryville on December 4 and Centre on December 6.
The final two home games of 2026 are on December 18 and 20 against Rhodes and Millsaps, but Berry plays two more games north of the border before the new year. The Vikings will be competing in the Northern Shoot-Out in Quebec, Canada against Colby and Middlebury on December 29 and 30.
After the new year, the team plays 12 consecutive conference games to close out the regular season from January 5 to February 21, with six of those games at the Cage Center.
The SAA Conference Tournament takes place from February 25-27 at Maryville College. Only the top six teams in the conference clinch a spot, and the winner receives an automatic bid for the DIII NCAA Tournament.
