EARLYSVILLE, Va. - The Berry College men's and women's cross country looked to build off their strong starts at the NCAA D3 South Regional Preview at Panorama Farms.

Both teams secured a top-six finish, with the men's team finishing fourth with 108 points, while the women's team placed sixth with 160 points. Berry had five individual finishers inside the top 25 across both races. 

On the men's side, T Harris led the Vikings with an 11th-place finish, crossing the line in 26:25.1. Tavian Anderson followed in 17th with a time of 26:46.6, while Xavier Anderson finished 23rd in 27:06.8. Brooks Johnson rounded out Berry's top four finishers in 25th place with a time of 27:11.5. 

Berry finished tied with Roanoke at 108 points, but Roanoke earned third place through the tiebreaker. Lynchburg won the men's team competition with 28 points, followed by Pfeiffer with 92. 

On the women's side, Ella Williams led the Vikings with a 13th-place finish, recording a time of 24:05.1. Natalie Sinclair finished right outside the top 25 in 26th at 25:07.8, while Lucy Brooks and freshman Grace Scuderi finished back-to-back in 37th and 38th place. Brooks crossed in 25:50.5, while Scuderi finished right behind in 25:51.6.

Saint Francis took first place on the women's side with 79 points, followed by Southern Virginia with 103 and Lynchburg with 104. Berry finished sixth with 160 points.

After the meet, head coach Paul Deaton said, " With the hot and hilly course conditions it made for a challenging day that will make us all better. There were good competitive efforts by both teams and good competitive finish results as well. Both teams were especially competitive with Roanoke and Pfeiffer."

The Vikings will continue their 2026 season as they prepare for the Sewanee Pre-Conference meet on October 3rd.
