Women's Golf Announces 2026-27 Newcomers

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Head coach Brian Farrer welcomes five new additions to the roster for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
 
Sophia Joyce
Sophia is a native of Cumming, Georgia and the daughter of Michelle and Ryan Joyce. She graduated from West Forsyth High School as a multi-sport athlete, captain of the golf team, two-time state qualifier, scholar athlete, and a True Blue Leadership Award recipient. Academically, she was named AP Seminar Student of the Year, an AP scholar, and earned a spot on the President's List for dual enrollment. Sophia will be majoring in business and minoring in finance, and she chose Berry because she loved the college's tight knit community. Her biggest sports influence is Annika Sörenstam, and she enjoys hanging out with friends, working out, going to church, golfing, and reading in her free time.
 
Julia Conroy
Julia is a native of Greenville, South Carolina and the daughter of Liz and Tim Conroy. She graduated from Saint Joseph's Catholic School with a long list of accomplishments. She was a summa cum laude graduate, member of the National Honors Society in four different subjects, and received the 2026 LPGA Marilynn Smith Scholarship. On the golf course, she was a team captain, was named to the SJCS Varsity Golf All-Region team in 2024 and 2025, and the 2024 and 2025 SJCS Varsity Golf MVP. Julia will be majoring in animal sciences, and she chose Berry because of the tight knit community, the resources her major provides, the LifeWorks Program, and the opportunity to play golf.
 
Carla Lotz
Carla is from Munich, Germany and the daughter of Nichole and Thomas Lotz. She graduated from IMG Academy, where she was a member of the National Honors Society, graduated on the honor roll, and received the Student Life Award. Carla will be majoring in chemistry, and she chose Berry because of the campus community and opportunities at the school.
 
Clara Tebeau
Clara is from Columbus, Georgia and the daughter of Dee Dee and Tom Tebeau. She graduated from Brookstone School, becoming an honor roll student and winning both the Community Art Award and President's Service Award. She was also a four-sport athlete as a member of the golf, soccer, track, and basketball teams. Clara will be majoring in nursing, and she chose Berry because of the nursing program, campus community, and opportunities available. Her biggest sports influence is Scottie Scheffler, and she enjoys golfing, training, designing, and doing community service in her free time.
 
Lora Prince
Lora is a native of Madison, Alabama and the daughter of Jennifer and John Prince. She graduated from James Clemens High School as a member of the National Honors Society and National Spanish Honors Society. On the golf course, she placed second at sectionals for three years in a row and qualified for sub-states during that same time. Lora chose Berry because she loved the campus, and the college was close to her family. Her biggest sports influence is Justin Thomas, and she enjoys playing pickleball, shopping, and arts and crafts in her free time.
