MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Head coach Zach Healy has announced the eight newest members of the women's swimming roster ahead of the 2026-27 season.
 
Mary Lynnette Smith
Lynnette is a native of Conyers, Georgia. During her high school years, she was a member of the Beta Club and the Athens Bulldogs Swim Club. She will be majoring in pre-law and minoring in music theory, and she chose Berry because she loved the campus and the opportunities the school offers. Her biggest sports influence is Gretchen Walsh, and she enjoys playing piano, teaching swimming lessons, and playing beach volleyball in her free time.
 
Valeni Williams
Val is a native of Stockbridge, Georgia and the daughter of Tameka Cole-Williams and Larry Williams. She graduated from Union Grove High School, where she became the Henry County Female Swimmer of the Year in 2025 and 2026, the Athletic Student Leadership Award winner, and graduated in the top 10% of her class. She currently holds six school records and one county record. Val will be majoring in biochemistry, and she chose Berry because it's a place where she can continue to compete in the sport she loves, while preparing for her future. Her biggest sports influence is her oldest brother, Terrill, who went on to play Division I football. She also enjoys singing, reading, and listening to music in her free time.
 
Ashtyn Nunley
Ashtyn is from Joppa, Alabama and the daughter of Angel and John Nunley. She graduated from Arab High School in the top 20% of her class and on the honor roll. As a member of the swimming team, she was the 2024 AHSAA Swimming State Runner-Up, the 2025 AHSAA Swimming State Champion, a five-time state finalist, and an eight-time podium finisher. Ashtyn will be majoring in nursing, and she chose Berry because it felt like a home away from home where she could flourish. Her biggest sports influence is Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, and she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, going to church, and swimming in her free time.
 
Zoey Cocian
Zoey is from Duluth, Georgia and the daughter of Zamfira and Ariel Cocian. She graduated on the honor roll from Duluth High School as a scholar athlete. Athletically, she was the captain of the swimming and diving team and ranked in the top 10 in both the county and state finals. Zoey will be majoring in business, and she chose Berry because of the swimming program. Her biggest sports influence is her coach Jim Reason, and she enjoys going to the gym, shopping, traveling, going out with friends, and watching football in her spare time.
 
Sara Grace Terrell
Sara is a native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and the daughter of Dawn and Lewis Terrell III. She graduated magna cum laude from Central Magnet School, where she was a Tri-Star Scholar, AP Scholar with Distinction, received the Central Magnet Diploma of Merit, the President's Award for Academic Excellence, and was a member of the National Honors Society. As a member of the swimming team, she was a MTHSSA Regional Championship qualifier all four years, a TISCA State Championship qualifier all four years, and a Southeastern Championship qualifier. Sara will be majoring in nursing, and she chose Berry because she loved the campus, the area, and the team. Her biggest sports influence is her dad and little brother.
 
Alexis Knoll
Alexis is a native of Carrollton, Georgia and the daughter of Chrissy and David Knoll. She graduated from Central High School, completing the cosmetology for licensure certificate program and receiving the HOPE Scholarship. She also became a 2026 GHSA State Qualifier in the 50 freestyle and set four school records during her time on the swimming team. Alexis chose Berry because of the welcoming environment, and it felt like the right place to be. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks, being outside, and watching the sunset.
 
AmyLynn Hoeng
AmyLynn is from Dalton, Georgia and the daughter of Cynthia and Benjamin Hoeng. She graduated from Dalton High School as a member of the National Honors Society, a three-time state qualifier, and a two-time state finalist. She will be majoring in exercise science, and she chose Berry because of the lively campus and felt it was meant to be. AmyLynn's biggest sports influence is her mom, and she enjoys cooking, going on walks, and going on side quests in her free time.
 
Charlotte Ulewicz
Charlotte is from Gainesville, Florida and a graduate of Oak Hall School. In her sophomore year, she was named MVP of the swimming team and by the time of graduation was the school record holder in the 100 backstroke. In the classroom, she was an honor roll student, an AP scholar, and a member of Mu Alpha Theta and the National Honors Society. Charlotte will be majoring in exercise science, and she chose Berry because of the campus and support from the team and coaching staff. Her biggest sports influence is her coaches, and she enjoys playing the violin and doing photography in her free time.
