ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Berry College men's and women's track & field teams wrapped up regular season competition at the Augustana Twilight Last chance qualifier on Wednesday and Thursday with one last chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Women:Â
Ayla Husby and
Macy Murdock finished second and third in the Javelin with throws of 38.08 meters and 36.55 meters. Murdock also finished second in the 400 meter Hurdles with a lifetime PR of 1:01.30 breaking her own school record and sealing a spot in the NCAA Championships with the #11 fastest time in the country.
Ella Williams finished third in the 5000m Invite with a time of 18:31.59.
Abby Reams finished fifth in the 5000m Collegiate with a time of 21:19.70
Malysha Winston wrapped up her Vikings career with an eighth place finish in the Hammer Throw with a throw of 46.92 meters.
Onoyeme Egure placed seventh in the Shot Put with a throw of 12.92 meters.
Men:
T Harris finished third in the 1500 meter with a time of 3:57.72
Quincy Anderson won the 5000m Collegiate with a lifetime PR of 15:53.20 while teammate
Ciaran Greer took third in a time of 16:19.81.
Dawson Livingston wrapped up his Vikings career throwing a PR of 54.39 meters in the Hammer Throw.
Clay Robinson finished sixth in the Javelin with a throw of 52.66 meters.Â
The Vikings finished 3-4-7-8-9-10 in the 5000m Invite with
Brooks Johnson leading the way with a time of 15:06.21. Kennan Smith finished right behind in 15:15.25 while T Harris finished seventh in 15:24.68,
Owen Gagnon finished eighth in 15:27.81,
Tavian Anderson finished ninth in 15:40.30 and
Xavier Anderson finished tenth in 15:41.45.
The Vikings will find out tonight who will officially qualify for the NCAA Championships.
