MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - JJ Sweat has earned the final Division III Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week honor of the 2026 season as announced on Tuesday afternoon.

A Freshman right-hander Sweat tossed two shutouts to help propel Berry to its fifth straight Southern Athletic Association (SAA) tournament title over the weekend. A native of Dallas, GA Sweat threw a three-hitter 7 inning complete game shutout while striking out three in the Vikings' 3-0 championship-clinching victory over the top seeded Trinity University Tigers on Sunday to secure SAA tournament Most Valuable Player honors. Earlier on Friday she also had a two-hit complete game shutout with nine strikeouts in Berry's 1-0 triumph over Southwestern. Sweat went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 12 strikeouts while pitching 14 innings during the tournament as the Vikings won four straight elimination games to clinch their spot in the NCAA Tournament.
