MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Viking softball is regarded as the best of the best once again in the Southern Athletic Association, finishing first in the conference's preseason poll.
The Berry softball squad is loaded with talent once again in 2026. Ava Fouts looks to be the head of the snake for the Vikings after an All-American nod as a two-way player in 2025. The First Team All-SAA selection is paired with strong slugger and First Team All-SAA performer Lauren Cothern, who is sure to continue her powerful hitting and strong field presence in 2026. Along with them, Bradynn Belcher, Elly Bennett, Katelyn Boman, and Erica Bennett are all-conference performers who are poised for success to lead the Vikings to fifth consecutive conference title.
Voting was conducted among the SAA's seven head coaches.
