DESTIN, Fla. - The Berry College women's golf team wrapped up their fall break with a 17th place finish at the 2026 Golfweek October Classic Tuesday afternoon.
The Vikings finished with a final team score of +122 (986), climbing three spots up the team leaderboard on the final day of the tournament.
In a huge event with high-quality competition, Julia Conroy placed in the top 25 individually to lead the Vikings. She finished tied for 21st with +18, steadily rising the ranks each day by posting rounds of 83-78-73. Her eight total birdies led the team, and her score of +1 in round three helped her rise 21 spots to finish just outside the top 20.
Lora Prince earned herself a top 50 finish with a score of +26, posting rounds of 83-81-78 to finish second on the team. She carded four birdies throughout the tournament, and much like Conroy finished strong with a great final round to rise eight spots on the leaderboard.
Carla Lotz finished tied for 75th with a final score of +35, shooting 82-83-86 in the three rounds and matching Prince with four birdies overall. Grace Schuh tied for 98th with a +45, and Paige Greco rounded out the Vikings core five with a +62 to place 112th.
Mary Hardin-Baylor ran away with the team championship by finishing with +25, 30 strokes ahead of second place Macalester (+55). UC Santa Cruz finished just behind in third with +57, Illinois Wesleyan took fourth with +69, and Sewanee finished fifth with a +70.
