Berry College Senior Swimmer and Team Captain Serves at NCAA National Convention

| By:

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Berry College senior swimmer and team captain Kimberly Lila continues to make an impact beyond the pool through her service on the NCAA Division III National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

As part of her role on National SAAC, Kimberly recently attended the NCAA National Convention last week in National Harbor, Maryland, alongside the Vikings Athletic Director Dr. Angel Mason. While at the convention, she helped represent the voices of Division III student-athletes and provided updates to the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) presidents and athletic administrators on legislation under consideration, as well as the National SAAC perspective on key issues affecting student-athletes across the country.

Kimberly's leadership at the national level builds on her previous experience as a participant in the NCAA Division III Emerging Leaders program, a professional development program designed for Division III student-athletes interested in careers in sports. That experience provided valuable insight into athletic administration and governance and helped shape her desire to pursue a career in athletics following her scheduled graduation in Spring 2026.

"Kimberly is a great representation of Berry College, Viking Athletics, and what we hope for our scholar-athletes," said Director of Athletics Dr. Angel Mason. "She has grown as a person during her time at Berry, and her professionalism and leadership skills continue to shine through."

In addition to her national involvement, Kimberly remains deeply committed to her swim teammates, Berry College SAAC, and her work on and off campus. Through her leadership and service, she strives to positively impact the student-athlete experience and support those around her.
