MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Head tennis coach Doug Elly has released the match slate for the 2025-2026 Berry women's tennis season.
After a second place finish in last season's SAA Tournament, the Vikings are poised for another run at a conference title. The squad will be led by returning all-conference performer, Sara Mejia, and other solid contributors like Maggie Cox and Carolina Hanson, who had big-time performances down the stretch last season.
Berry's regular season begins with its home opener against Wallace State Community College on September 11. The squad then sets its sights on three days of action in the Berry Fall Invitational from September 26-28. On that same day, the Vikings will compete in the ITA Regionals at Emory University in Atlanta.
The spring season gets rolling with two sets of matches against Snead State Community College and Wallace State Community College on February 6. Berry then turns around for another battle, this time at Emory University on February 8. Following that set, the Vikings take on crosstown foe, Shorter University, on February 21. The in-state action continues with a match against Covenant on February 24. After a couple of weekends off, the Vikings hit the road for spring break competition in Hilton Head, South Carolina, from March 8-12. Non-conference action comes to a close on March 20 when Berry faces Brenau University at the Rome Downtown Courts.
SAA play gets going with a bang, as the Vikings host Millsaps on March 28 in their "Pack The House" event and then ready themselves for a home match against Rhodes on March 29, as they celebrate their senior day. Women's tennis then takes their show on the road to the "Lone Star State," as they take on the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on April 3 and conference foes Southwestern University and Trinity University on April 4 and 5. With the regular season winding down, the Vikings head back home to host Sewanee and Centre on April 11 and 12, before heading to Sewanee for a neutral site non-conference match against Mary Washington on April 18. SAA play concludes with a showdown on the road against Oglethorpe on April 19.
The SAA Tournament will begin on April 24 and conclude on April 26. Â
