DICKSON, Tenn. - After round one of the Men's SAA Championship, the Vikings sit in third with
Jay Carr and
Cam Baker tied for eighth individually.
The Vikings sit eleven strokes behind No. 2 Oglethorpe and the Sewanee Tigers currently lead at -11.
Baker and Carr both shot par today (72), in their even rounds the combined for seven birdies. The other Vikings competing held it down as well with low scores for the team to just shoot +5 on the day among rain delays and wet conditions.
At the Greystone Golf Club,
Noah Farland was next up with his round of 74 (+2) and both
Jay Sanders and
Kevin Verrill shot 75 (+3) while
Charles Kyle finished it for Berry with a 78.
The team looks to hunt down a team tomorrow in round two on the Par 72 course.
