CORDOVA, Tenn. - The Vikings golf team climbed up four spots in their final round to finish eighth overall in the Cochran Collegiate hosted by Rhodes College.
On day one the team played two rounds and was in 12
th place led by lows of 77 (+5) from
Kevin Verrill and
Jay Sanders in round one and a 78 from
Noah Farland. In round two the Vikings were right back at it with Farland leading the way with a team low of 76 and
Cam Baker shooting a 77 this time.Â
Berry progressed each round as a team at +26, +23 and then +15 in their final round today.
Verrill and Baker each were only two over par at 74 with a combined four birdies while the other two countable scores from
Jay Sanders 77 and Farland 78 stayed below the 80's for the first time all tournament.Â
Kevin Verrill led the team with a 23rd individual finish.
This gears up the team for the SAA Championships beginning April 25-27.
