SAVANNAH, Ga. - The men's golf team currently sits in 16th after the first two rounds of their host tournament, the Savannah Invitational. The B teams sits in 12th at the Port City Classic.
Most notable, the Vikings are ahead of No. 9 Lynchburg.
Leading the way in round one was
Noah Farland who shot one under with four birdies (71).
Cam Baker,
Charles Kyle, and
Jay Sanders trailed Farland by increasing scores of one shot at 75, 76, and 77 (+5).
In round two, Farland still led the way shooting another 71 (-1) to earn his way to 11
th overall individually. While Sanders,
Kevin Verrill, and Baker shot a 73, 77, and 76 respectively.
Berry's B team competed in the Port City Classic today through two rounds as well to take 12th.
Landon Painter was the lead runner on the B team with a score at one over par in round one (73).Â
Alec Ortiz,
Josh Lay, and
Jay Carr had the other three countable scores in round one at 78, 80, and 81.
In round two at the Port City Classic,
Andrew Garger found his way to shoot par and lead the team with Lay, Painter, and Carr following behind him.
Both teams return to action tomorrow to complete their tournaments in hopes to upset the top ranked teams.
