MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The floodgates of accolades continue to overflow with McCormack Langford and Cade Petty earning spots on the D3football.com All-American teams.
McCormack Langford was named to the All-American Fourth Team Offense after propelling one of the most feared rushing attacks in the country with his unique combination of quickness and brute strength. His efforts led to the Vikings being first in the Southern Athletic Association in rushing, while allowing just 12 sacks as an offensive line in 13 games of action this season. The junior from Guntersville, Alabama, is not finished either, with one more year coming for him as a force on the Berry offensive line.
Cade Petty continued his illustrious career as a Viking in style, sitting atop the nation in blocked kicks with five on the season on his way to an All-American honor as a Second Team Specialist. The senior's ability to flip a game on its head extended into the defensive side of the ball as well. His contributions as a hybrid linebacker this year led to him tabbing career-highs in tackles, sacks, and tackles for loss. The Chatsworth, Georgia, native also added an interception to his stat line to round out an ultra-productive year in his senior season.
