MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Vikings were in action on Sunday afternoon where they fell to Emory University, 6-0.
The Vikings showed valor in the first few minutes of the game as two shots were unloaded against the Emory defense by Gianna Maimone and Peyton Goolsby, both saved by the Emory goalkeeper.
The Berry defense would struggle to hold strong though, as the Eagles' fast-paced offense accumulated eleven shots in the first half, with three resulting in goals. Goalkeeper, Maggie Jones held her own in goal with 8 saves for the Vikings.
The second half brought more of the same for Berry, as Emory continued to put pressure on their defense, adding three goals in the second half. This would lead to a 6-0 defeat for the Vikings.
