CONWAY, Ark. - After day one of the Southern Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Berry claims successful.

The men's team currently sits in first with 123 points.

• Bradshaw Lathbury defended his SAA title in the 10k, taking first place with a time of 30:40 (a new SAA Championship record) and Ethan Smith took third place.
• Deiondre Wilson finished third in the long jump with a distance of 6.67m
• Dawson Livingston, Mason Robinson, Tonny Garcia, and George Ketch dominate the Hammer going 1-4, with Livingston claiming the title.
• Alden McDonald, Gage Lee, and Connor Johnson place 2-4 in the Pole Vault
• Ben Hanlon secured first in the 3000 steeplechase, breaking the SAA record
• David Billiard, Mason Robinson, and Joseph Rampey shine in the men's shot put going 1-3-4. Billiard's throw tied his SAA Championship record that he set last year.

The women's team sits in second place behind Centre College.

• Malysha Winston and Avery Jones take second and third in the Hammer Throw
• CJ Jones jumped 5.31m for a PR in the Women's Long Jump and Emily Kate Thompson followed up with a 6^th place finish.
• Madeline Hubbert and Ella Pine take second and third in the women's pole vault and Emilee Easley rounded off the high places with a fourth place finish
• Freshman Onoyeme Egure takes second in the Shot Put
