ATLANTA, Ga. - Berry Women's Lacrosse ended their road stance at Oglethorpe with a big SAA victory of 16-7.
It all started with
Dani Taraska's opening two goals in the first minute!
Molley Cross added the third in the second minute of play and the Vikings were sitting pretty at 3-0 in the first.
The Stormy Petrels finally woke up and went on a quick 4-0 run of their own to capture the lead on their home field.
Berry responded to the run with an
Abby Sprayberry goal and
Haley Larsen ended the first with a late goal and Berry found themselves up 6-4 at the end of the first.
The second quarter was owned by Berry as
Ally Washburn shutout Oglethorpe and the Vikings offense put five goals past the goalie.
Taraska scored her fourth goal of the game before halftime and opened the second half with her fifth!
Washburn held Oglethorpe to only three goals throughout the last two quarters, and the Vikings continued to let things flow offensively adding five goals in the third with Annakate Estock's goal pushing the lead to ten and starting the running clock.
Berry will be back in action on Sunday for Senior Day as they host Rhodes College at Valhalla for their final regular season game of the year.
