CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Berry Track and Field took on day one of the Lee Invitational in some wet conditions which brought PRs and success.
Emily Kate Thompson and
Macy Murdock took on the Heptathlon today starting with the 100m Hurdles where Thompson finished second and Murdock followed in 7th, with Thompson setting a new PR of 15.18. The two then headed to the high jump, this time with Murdock setting a new PR of 1.46m. Thompson and Murdock continued to compete crossing off the Shot Put (with a both athletes setting a new PR) and the 200m to hold 2
nd (Thompson) and 5
th (Murdock) with 2785 points and 2369 points, respectively.
On the men's side,
Bradshaw Lathbury hit a PR in the 10000m finishing second overall with a time of 31:09.32.
In the Men's Javelin,
Jackson Jorski was the high Viking finish in eighth with a distance of 43.88m.
Vikings continue competition at Lee tomorrow and have hopes of better conditions for day two!
