MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Under
Astrid Escobar, both the men and women's swim and dive teams have been recognized for their excellence outside of the pool, being named to the CSCAA Fall Scholar All-America Team.
The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) proudly announces the selection of 783 teams from 461 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2023 semester. These teams, representing a total of 18,716 student-athletes, were chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the specified semester.
In order to qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2023 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 595 achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above, earning eligibility for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
The women's team posted an overall GPA of 3.53 while the men sat at 3.34 to earn this honor.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
