TERRA HAUTE, Ind. - The two top runners from Berry Cross Country hit the course in Indiana this morning at 12:00 PM against the top competition in the NCAA Championship.

Sophomore, Tucker Wright was the front runner for the Vikings in the 2024 Championship with a time of 25:28.1, placing 147th. He was in 65th place after the 2k, but approaching the 3k he fell behind and had to make up some ground. In the last 3k he battled but was only able to overcome one person at the end and finished 1:26.5 behind the champion.

Troy Blackwood finished in 282nd today with a time of 26:53.3. Blackwood started off the race from behind, in 284th after the first 1k, he found his way past two opponents for his finish in Terra Haute.

The two and the rest of the team have had a great season and just as a sophomore and junior, their future is bright for the coming season.
