MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - This past Saturday, Vikings Swim and Dive hosted their annual Blue vs White event.

The Blue team cruised to victory, defeating the White team 927-897 overall. The men tied at 337, so the Blue women captured the win for their team, outscoring White 292-288.

In the mixed 50 yard breaststroke relay, the Blue team narrowly defeated the White by less than a second. However, the Blue team of Billy Blood, Mac Schefunas, Sarabeth Brown, and Ashley Young took the win with a time of 1:44.85.

Team White Highlights:
-Ethan Whiting captured the first Team White Win in the 300 free (2:49.87).
-Nick Fonzo and Alumn Alex Bartik had a huge swim off in the 50 butterfly, but Fonzo came up with the narrow win with a time of 23.98 compared to Bartik's 24.51.
-Team White claimed victories in the 50 back by both genders with Fonzo and Molly Heath leading the way and Emily Martin and Whiting claiming second to give their team even more points.

Team Blue Highlights:
-In the mixed 50 yard breaststroke relay, the Blue team narrowly defeated the White by less than a second. However, the Blue team of Billy Blood, Mac Schefunas, Sarabeth Brown, and Ashley Young took the win with a time of 1:44.85.
-Event two was captured by the Blue team on the women's side with Lily Groves defeating all in the 300 free (3:10.47).
-50 Butterfly was a close contest with Blue team swimmer Sarabeth Brown taking the win over Katelynn Groves with just a .24 time difference.
-Blue took first and second in the 200 freestyle relay
-The Blue team captured the last seven events with first place in the men and women 50 breaststroke, men and women 50 free, men and women 100 IM, and the Mixed 100 free relay with Mac Schefunas and Emily Young capturing two of those events each.

Berry will be back in action November 8th at Sewanee.
