ROME, Ga. - The No. 17 Berry Vikings placed second in their annual Chick-Fil-A Invitational this afternoon.
The Vikings came into round two down to Methodist after the first 18 holes. Today they battled back and forth with Averett, who moved up two to take home the tournament title.
Berry's total team score for round two was +10, and for the two rounds it was +11, just one stroke shy of a first place tie with the Cougars.
Kevin Verrill shined for the Vikings, finishing third overall and being named to the All-Tournament team for his round of 73 today with four birdies.

Cam Baker moved up five spots from yesterday to finish 8th overall with a 73 of his own in round two and 5 birdies as well.
Jay Sanders and
Noah Farland finished with 76 (+4) in their final round and
Charles Kyle rounded out the quint of Vikings with an 83 (+11).
