DANVILLE, Ky. - The Men's Indoor Track and Field team had a big showing in today's meet hosted by Centre, as they finished second.
Their second-place finish comes just behind a strong and traditionally ranked, Campbellsville, but led 12 other teams with huge performance!

Luke Syverson was pleased with his team's overall effort and was excited to see their great performances and PRs all around. He states that, "It was a great opportunity to get to compete at Centre since they will be hosting the inaugural SAA Indoor Championship in about a month."
In the field events, the reigning SAA Athlete of the Week,
Alden McDonald showed out again in the Pole Vault as he broke his own record twice on the way to a second-place finish of 4.94m. McDonald likely holds third in the nation in this event. Teammates
Connor Johnson and Nick Enright were right behind him with a third and fourth overall finish to tally some points for the Vikings.
David Billiard tagged on to the second of three indoor field records on the day with a 15.24m throw in the shot put as he defeated all opponents for a first-place victory.
The Vikings took the first four spots in the weight throw with
Dawson Livingston taking the first position and defeating his own school record from last season and placing a new distance of 16.63m.
On the track,
Jahari Jones won first in the 400m, with almost a two second finish over his opponents (49.96).
Grady Coppock took top three in the 3000m as he and the other two top finishers broke nine minutes.

The team will be back in action at Sewanee on Saturday, January 27.
