Jones Ties Record in Berry's Game at Emory

Maggie Jones tied the Berry school record for saves in a game, stopping 16 shots in Berry's 2-0 loss at Emory Monday afternoon in Atlanta.

Jones tied the mark set by Jackie McGivney in a neutral site contest at Emory against Christopher Newport Sept. 17, 2017. In her second game since returning from an ACL injury, Jones saved seven shots in the first half and nine in the second.

Emory would score once in the 25th minute and again in the 81st minute to pull away for the win. The Eagles had 38 shots in the contest, including 18 on goal.

Berry would get one shot in the contest, with Kelsie Crosier getting credit for the attempt in the 71st minute.

The Vikings will be back in action on the road this Thursday at The College of New Jersey. Kickoff in Trenton, N.J., is set for 6 p.m.
