John D'Amelio laced a double to right center to plate Justin Bridges with the first run. Cloud would then reach on an infield hit, and when the throw to first went wild, D'Amelio raced home to make it 9-5. Then with Cloud on third, a wild pitch would bring him the remaining 90-feet home for the final run of the season.

Starting in back-to-back games for the first time in his career, Charles Stephenson ended up taking the loss for the Vikings, only allowing two runs in three innings. Aubrey Higgins finished the game on the mound with 1.2 innings of scoreless relief.
