The Berry Vikings women's Soccer team hung tough but fell short 1-0 to the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels Saturday.
The Vikings came out strong and held the Stormy Petrels scoreless as the game played back and forth, sending both teams into halftime tied 0-0. The Vikings cranked up the intensity in the second half, but the Stormy Petrels would open up scoring in the 47th minute to take a one-point lead. The Vikings never surrendered; however, the Stormy Petrels held their ground to end the contest with the victory.
The Vikings will travel to Centre College to take on the Colonels on Saturday for the opening round of the 2023 SAA Conference Championship Tournament.
