Mt. Berry, Ga. - Berry College's men's lacrosse team fell 11-8 on the road in Southern Athletic Association play at Sewanee Saturday afternoon.

Sewanee (4-5, 2-1) would outscore Berry in the first 2-1 with the only goal from the Vikings coming from
Nick Caruti with 34 seconds remaining in the quarter.

In the secondnd, Sewanee would score two more goals in under three minutes to stretch their lead to three before
Tyler Banfield would find
Nick Caruti for his second goal of the game and cut the deficit to two. Sewanee would then score five unanswered goals to push their lead to six and make the score 9-2, where it would stay heading into the half.

In the third,
Nick Caruti would find the back of the net for the Vikings and his third score of the game. Sewanee would answer a minute later with a score of their own to push their lead back to seven. The Vikings would then go on a tear, scoring four straight from the sticks of
Wheeler Gibson,
Tyler Banfield,
Tim Salisbury, and
Joey Cuthbert to cut the lead to three for the Tigers.

Sewanee would tack on another goal five minutes into the fouth to push their lead back to four.
Michael McKenzie would find the back of the net with four minutes to play to cut Sewanee's lead back to three and this is where it would stand as the horn sounded to end the game.

The Vikings will be at home next Saturday as they take on Birmingham-Southern. Opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m.
