Mt. Berry, Ga. - No.15 Berry secured the series win against Hendrix College with a doubleheader sweep, 5-4 and 12-0 on Saturday at Kay Williams Field.

Game One: Berry 5, Hendrix 4
In the bottom of the seventh, it all came down to
Sydney Moroney, with the game on the line and the bases loaded. With the infield in, Moroney chopped a grounder to second. The ball was fielded after a bobble, then thrown wild of the plate, scoring
Grace Hamilton, winning game one for BC in walk-off fashion.
In the first inning,
Anna Jackson singled to the shortstop, scoring
Katie White to put the Vikings up one run. The very next at bat,
Morgan Frye singled to center field, sending
Riley Jackson to the plate in a strong start to the series for BC.
Hendrix's Grace Bryant homered in the second inning, putting the Warriors on the board, but
Blair Hall added a home run of her own, answering Bryant's and putting the Vikings up 3-1.
Both teams lacked any offensive momentum for the next three innings, until Hall doubled giving the Vikings life. White capitalized off the unexpected momentum, singling to third base, scoring Hall for the second time in game one.
Hendrix (13-5, 6-2 SAA) came storming back in the seventh in an attempt to steal the win away from Berry, using BC errors to plate three runs and tie the ballgame at 4-4 with two outs, and all of the momentum. The Vikings were able to get out of the jam, then loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh for Moroney's heroics.
Hall (2-1) got the win for the Vikings, recording three strikeouts.

Game Two: Berry 12, Hendrix 0
The offensive firepower displayed by the Vikings in the fourth inning proved to be too much for the Warriors, ending the game early.
Starting off the game hot,
Anna Jackson singled sending White home with an early 1-0 lead, but
Morgan Frye homered in the next at-bat, putting the Vikings up 4-0 as the first four Vikings reached to start the game.
In the third inning, Hall hit a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring
Anna Jackson as the Vikings continued to distance themselves from the Warriors.
BC (14-7, 5-0 SAA) put the game away in the fourth.
Riley Jackson singled to center field, scoring Aleeya Thorton and White putting Berry up 7-0, with Hendrix lacking answers for a hot Viking offense. Paige Bennet added her own fuel to the fire with another single, sending
Anna Jackson and
Riley Jackson to home, with still no one out. Moroney tacked on a two RBI single, then Hamilton's pop up turned into a sacrifice fly, scoring the seventh and final run of the fourth inning.
Emily Whitehead (3-2) scored the win and the shutout, recording four strikeouts and allowing only two hits. The Vikings recorded 12 hits in the second game alone.
Berry is back in action on Sunday, closing out their series with Hendrix at 12 p.m. at Kay Williams Field.
