After a scoreless first half, the Berry men's soccer team found the range in the final 45 minutes of play when the Vikings turned in a 3-0 non-conference shutout over Randolph-Mason on Saturday in Ashland, Va.
The win gives Berry a 4-2 record heading into its final road trip of a rugged first few weeks of the season Sunday when the Vikings head to Methodist in Fayetteville, N.C., on Sunday for a 2 p.m. match. Next Saturday, Sept. 25, Berry – the team has played seven straight road tilts – steps on to its home ground for the first time hosting Southern Athletic Conference foe Sewanee at Pearson Field.

JP Phillips put Berry on the board just under 52 minutes into the game when he scored off an assist from
Chris Barbieri.
Halfway through the second half, the Vikings struck again when
Zachary Ernst scored thanks to an assist by
Bear Crystal, and three minutes later
Nathan Carlson came up with an unassisted goal.
Berry ended the day outshooting the Jackets 11-5 shots with Viking keeper José Palacios coming up with one save.
