Little Rock, Ark. – The Berry College football team defeated Hendrix 21-20 on Saturday to claim their fifth straight SAA football championship.

Gavin Gray went 18-28 for 205 yards and one touchdown pass in Saturday's showing. Jonahan Maisonave rushed for 51 yards and one touchdown.

Defensively, many Vikings had standout performances. Devin Grier snagged two crucial interceptions, while Jack Carroll led the team in tackles with 13, two for a loss, and one sack for a loss of five yards. Mac Wells tallied seven tackles, three for a loss, and two sacks for a total loss of seven yards. Elohim Hull and Jake Weitkamp each added six tackles, with Hull tallying two interceptions, one for a touchdown.

With the win, Berry finished the 2021 season as the only unbeaten SAA program at 4-0.
