The Berry swim team turned in some strong finishes but dropped its dual meet Saturday Franklin Springs, Ga., when Emmanuel swept the Vikings.
Berry's women fell 172-89, while the men lost 170-91.
Great efforts were posted on both teams with second place on the 200 Medley Relay teams of
Isabella Decker,
Viola Hasko,
Hannah Smith and
Paris Thornburg (1:53.47) and
Billy Blood,
Sam Tate,
Noah Brand and
Hunter Kenny (1:37.74.)
In the 200 Freestyle,
Hunter Kenny dove back in for a second in 1:50.45, and in the women's 100 Breast stroke the Vikings swept the top three spots with
Paris Thornburg (1:06.68),
Grace Pleasant (1:09.27) and
Viola Hasko (1:10.5) finishing first, second and third, respectively.
Ross Valdez won the 100 Butterfly in 1:56.94, while
Hannah Smith won the 50 Freestyle at 25.08 and Brand was second in the men's event at 22.07.
After a short break, Smith touched second in the 100 Freestyle at 55.07.
In the 200 Breast stroke Thornburg, Pleasant and Hasko teamed up again to finish 2,3 and 4 respectively, and
Emilio Rico Won the men's 200 Breast stroke with a 2:13.21.
In the 500 Freestyle Valdez was at 4:39.44, Smith had a 1:00.31 for second in the women's 100 Butterfly and Brand swam to a second in the same event at 52.76.
Wrapping up the meet,
