The Berry college women's soccer team defeated Oglethorpe 3-0 on Saturday in a Southern Athletic Association road game Saturday to close out their regular season.
The win, the team's fourth straight, improves the Vikings 10-5 overall and 5-2 in the SAA.
The first goal came from Karsten Brantley seven minutes into the game with teammate
Lyndsey Francingues recording the assist.
In the 18
th minute, Francingues decided to add another goal to the count thanks to an assist by
Christina Marijanich that gave Berry the 2-0 lead up at the half.
Sixteen minutes into the second half, Francingues struck again with her second goal off a pass from Kathrine Mabbs to close out the scoring.
Berry totalled 17 shots on goal, with Francingues leading the team with five.
Goalkeeper
Maggie Jones recorded two saves on the day for Berry against the Petrals.
The Vikings now await word on who and where they'll open the SAA Tournament that begins next week.
