The Berry College men's soccer team lost to Southern Athletic Association foe Oglethorpe 2-1 on the road on Saturday night to close out the regular season.
The setback evening gives Berry a 9-4-2 overall record and a 3-2-2 SAA mark heading into the postseason.
All the action came in the second half of the game, with the first goal of the game coming from Oglethorpe's Felipe Araujo at the 51st minute.
Fifteen minutes later Berry's
Nathan Carlson tied it up with an assist from Stephen Votapeck.
But the Petrels' Hayden Binfeild answered the Vikings goal at the 76-minute mark that proved to be the game winner.
The Vikings ended the night with one shot on goal, while the Petrels had seven.
Berry goalkeeper Jose Palacios recorded five saves.
The Vikings now turn their attention to the SAA Tournament which is scheduled to begin next Saturday with their first-round opponent yet to be decided.
