Two second half goals led to two scoreless sudden-death overtimes as the Berry men's soccer team battled Southern Athletic Association host Centre to a 1-1 tie Saturday afternoon in Danville, KY.
The deadlock give the Vikings a 6-2-1 overall record and a 1-0-1 slate in the SAA heading into non-conference clash at home Tuesday on Pearson Field against Huntingdon.
After a scoreless first half, Berry broke the scoring drought in the opening five minutes of the second half when
Dylan Bloch scored off an assist by
Zachary Ernst.
Centre (4-4-2, 0-1-1) tied it up at the 64:24 mark, but neither team was able to add to their offensive output the rest of the way.
Berry outshot Centre 16-15, with four of the Vikings' shots on goal and Centre recording seven SOG.
Vikings keeper José Palacios had four saves in goal for Berry.
