The Berry women's soccer team suffered its first Southern Athletic Association setback of the season Saturday afternoon when host Centre handed the Vikings a 2-1 defeat.
The loss evens the team's SAA mark to 1-1 (6-4 overall) and snaps a three-game win streak.
The Vikings took a 1-0 halftime lead when
Maeve McDougal took a pass from
Vanessa Belanger to score just over 22 minutes into the game.
Centre (9-1-1, 2-0) tied the game just four minutes into the second half on a goal by Elizabeth Nelson, the scored the game clincher with 13 minutes left to play thanks to Megan Sidaway.
Berry ended the day with seven shots, while Centre reeled off 17.

Berry is back in action next Friday for another SAA test when they visit Rhodes in Memphis, Tenn.
