GEORGETOWN, Texas — The Berry women's lacrosse team opened its spring break trip with an 18-6 loss to Carthage on Sunday afternoon.

With the loss, Berry slips to 1-6 on the year. 

Carthage used a 12-goal opening half to put the game out of reach. Berry played well in the second half, scoring four goals. Miranda Smith and Meg Massey each scored two to lead the team. Smith added a pair of assists. 

Berry takes on the University of Dallas on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. ET.
