ROME, Ga. — Jana Morning scored a season-high 22 points on Sunday afternoon to lead the Berry College women's basketball team to a 61-59 victory over Hendrix.

With the win, Berry improved to 7-7 overall and 1-2 in league play. Hendrix fell to 2-11 and 0-3 in conference. 

Morning went 7-for-16 from the field and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the line. SHe added six rebounds and three steals. Madeline Sandman followed with 16 points. 

Berry jumped out to a 19-14 lead after the first quarter, but stumbled in the second period and trailed 30-27 at the break. The Vikings outscored Hendrix 20-11 in the third and were able to hold the Warriors at bay in the third to secure the win.

Berry travels to Centre College on Friday for a 7:00 p.m. tip.
