Rally Falls Short as Women's Basketball Drops SAA Clash to Rhodes

ROME, Ga. — The Vikings scored 23 points in the fourth quarter, but fell to 0-2 in league play after a 70-62 loss to Rhodes College on Friday night.

With the loss, Berry slipped to 6-7 on the year while the Lynx improved to 7-5 and 2-0 in conference play. 

Rhodes led by 18 early in the fourth quarter, but the Vikings played well defensively in the final period to pull within five points. McKenzie Smith led the way with a double-double, scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Three other Vikings scored double-digits as well including Madeline Sandman, Eveline Parsons and Jana Morning

Berry wraps up the weekend with another SAA clash on Sunday at noon against Hendrix.
