Box Score ROME, Ga. — The Berry College women's basketball team hit 12 three-point shots, including a season-best five three-pointers from Jana Morning to defeat the Millsaps Majors 51-28 on Sunday afternoon.
With the win, Berry claims its third straight, improving to 10-8 overall and 4-3 in conference play. Millsaps fell to 8-10 and 2-5 in conference.
Morning led with 17 points on 5-for-9 three-point shooting. She added five assists. Eveline Parsons added 12 with four three's and Madeline Sandman added 11.
Berry hit just a pair of two-point shots in the outing and had their best free-throw shooting day of the year hitting on 87.5% of free throws. The Vikings also capitalized on 26 Millsaps turnovers, converting 27 points off turnovers. Berry held the Majors to a 24.3% shooting percentage and no fourth quarter points.
The Vikings begin the final road stretch of the regular season on Jan. 24 at Birmingham-Southern.
